Frequently asked questions

Everything people ask before sending their first card — and a few things they ask afterwards.

How do I create a wishing card?

Open the card builder, choose an occasion, type the name of the person you are sending it to, and write or pick a message. Press “Create card & get link” and you get a private link you can send on WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook or X, plus a download button for the high-resolution image.

Do I need an account or a login?

No. WishVerse has no sign-up, no password and no dashboard. You create a card, you get a link, and that is the whole flow. Because there is no account, there is nothing to cancel and no email list to unsubscribe from.

Is it really free?

Yes. Every card, every occasion, every language and every download is free. The service is paid for by clearly labelled ads placed around the pages, never inside the card that the recipient sees.

Will the recipient see my name?

Only if you want them to. The card has an optional “from” line. Leave it empty and the card simply carries their name and your message. Fill it in and the card ends with “— your name”.

Does the card open without an app?

Yes. A card is just a web page on its own link, so it opens in any browser — Android, iPhone, desktop — with no app to install. The animation plays immediately and the page is light enough for slow mobile connections.

How does the WhatsApp preview look?

When you share the link, WhatsApp and other apps fetch a 1200×630 preview image generated for that exact card: the occasion, the person’s name and your message are already on the picture. It looks like a picture made for them, not a generic forwarded greeting.

Can I write my own message in any language?

You can type in any script and the card stores exactly what you typed. If you pick one of the 22 interface languages, the occasion labels, buttons and suggested messages switch too, and automatic translation makes your message readable in the language you chose.

Which languages are supported?

English is the default, and the interface plus the share text can be switched to 21 more: Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Indonesian, Turkish, Bengali, Russian, Chinese, Italian, Persian, Malay, Thai, Vietnamese, Dutch, Polish, Swahili and Tamil. Your own message is stored exactly as typed, and automatic translation makes it readable in the language you picked.

How many occasions are there?

Forty-eight, from the obvious to the awkward: birthday, anniversary, wedding, Eid, Eid al-Adha, Ramadan, Muharram, Diwali, Holi, Navratri, Dussehra, Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam, Pongal, Baisakhi, Lohri, Christmas, New Year, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Raksha Bandhan, Teacher’s Day, graduation, new baby, promotion, housewarming, retirement, get well soon, farewell, congratulations, thank you, sorry and more.

Can the recipient reply to the card?

The card itself is one-way; there is no comment section and no personal data is collected from whoever opens it. Recipients reply the way people already do — by tapping the link in the chat and answering there.

Do you keep the card forever?

Cards are generated instantly and stay available on their link. Personal cards are unlisted: they are not in the sitemap, not indexed and not browsable from the site, so the only way to reach one is the link you sent.

Can I download the card as an image?

Yes. Each card has a “Download HD image” button that gives you a 1200×630 PNG with the same name, occasion and message — useful for stories, status updates or printing.

Why does the same card look different on different phones?

The card is rendered with responsive type and a fixed design language, so the layout scales with the screen. The name and message always stay the visual centre of the card; only the padding and the size of the decorations change.

Is my message or the recipient’s name used for anything else?

No. The name and message are used to render the card and its preview image, nothing more. They are not sold, not used for advertising targeting and not shown anywhere except that card’s own link. See the privacy page for details.

Can I use WishVerse for my business or a group greeting?

Yes, within reason — teams use it for client greetings and staff birthdays. Creation is rate-limited per day to keep the service free; if you need bulk or branded cards, contact us and we will find a sensible arrangement.

Something is broken. How do I report it?

Send a message to the support address on the contact page with the card link and what you expected to see. Card links are the fastest way for us to reproduce a problem.

Still deciding what to write?

Most people overthink the message. Two honest lines beat a long forwarded poem: say what the day is, say one thing you actually remember about them, and stop. The card builder has suggested messages for every occasion if you want a starting point you can edit.
